Visual explorations for Emeli Sandé’s new album ‘How were we to know’
The final version chosen by the artist is the last, a black and white photograph of the singer with a bold black font.
Wicked is a series of collage art paying tribute to some of Hackney Wick's most iconic street art and architecture. Over the past 6 years, I took urban photos of the Wick and have then added cut-out elements to create surreal worlds and stories.
There is 90 metres of hoarding panelling along the walkway between Hackney Wick train station and Wallis Road. This pathway cuts through the Stone Studios development by Telford Homes.
In February 2022 Telford Homes commissioned Creative Wick to produce a mural event to create artwork to feature on the hoardings. The artists murals told a story of the history of the site.
Stone Studios is built on the site of a family-run architectural metalwork business, first set up by Solomon Spegelstein back in 1923. Solomon’s company is still going strong today, in the capable hands of his great-grandson James Stone. But while the original factory has passed into history, the spirit of the Stone Brothers lives on. They used to lease unused space to around 100 artists, creating affordable studios for the new generation of makers and crafters – this project follows in these footsteps.
The mural project engaged seven artists that either lived, worked or had strong connections to Hackney Wick and Fish Island including myself and @gyallrini, @zaki_dee, @iamfakeblood, @Epod3000, @demi.fh, @_squarms
During the summer and autumn 2022 I worked for Co-Creative Connection, and had the opportunity to assist the awarded mural artist Rose Hill in a series of workshops at the Teviot Centre, Poplar, where the community designed a mural to celebrate the past, present and future of the estate. Taking inspiration from a range of sources, including the recent Platinum Jubilee, the Scottish heritage of Teviot’s original owner, and African and Islamic artwork. I have worked a few days helping out Rose with the painting of this mural, which has been another great collaborative work.
This report focuses on the A12 Undercroft in Hackney, London E9. The aims of the report are to distil prior work and research conducted at the A12 Undercroft, and consider the site’s importance as a social wealth asset within the wider context of Hackney Wick’s changing cultural landscape. To this end, the report intends to identify opportunities and barriers to progress at the site, inform the ambition for local community engagement, and shape future strategic directions. This research piece arose from the regular meetings of the A12 Undercroft Steering Group and has been funded by the Canal & River Trust.

Collage art for The Picnic Proms at the Powderham Castle
Artwork created in collaboration with illustrator and printmaker Jess Wilson for a leading vaping brand.
Doodles are the core of any creation so we decided to base our artwork around shapes we drew, and incorporated screen printing and acrylic pouring to connect our ideas.
The campaign was advertised on digital billboards and bus stops all across the UK and followed by a recorded live painting in BoxPark Shoreditch.

I had the opportunity to learn mural painting with the award-wining graphic artist Rose Hill during this community based projects in Tower Hamlet / Hackney London.
Better than a theory course, working with Rose Hill has gave me the right skills, techniques, and the confidence to be able to work on my own mural projects.
Experimentations
After a first mural painting experience in September, I had the opportunity to volunteer again in December 2021 for the award-wining graphic artist Rose Hill on a community based mural project in Lewisham on the topic of climate change, an important subject that is close to my heart.

In May 2020, I co-created Repot, a local online plant shop founded in Hackney Wick during the first UK lockdown.
After realising how much living surrounded by plants was having a positive impact on our wellbeing and mental health, we decided to use our love of plants, DIY and art to create Repot.
We offer a wide range of house plants, all coming with hand-painted terracotta pots. 🌱
I created the logotype, business cards, illustrations, gifs, pot design/painting, photography and website design.
Rusé is an audiovisual platform based in Miami.
I worked on a package of logotypes representing the brand for their various events.
I created a monochrome moodboard for Rusé’s brand identity. The concept is inspired by optical art and impossible shapes, which I believe represents beautifully the word Rusé - artful, smart, deep,..
Struggling to focus on one single medium, I decided to use this trait as a strength by mixing media in this series of artworks.
Mixing traditional photography from my trips around France, The Netherlands, and my neighbourhood Hackney Wick (London), collage art and photo-manipulation.

In September 2019, I had the opportunity to do something I'd always dreamt doing: work with music and travel for my work. I had the pleasure of being invited by Inside Electron to their beautiful city The Hague, Netherlands, to be in charge of the art direction for their new EP “Favourite Dream”.
I took pictures of the Hague and used photo-manipulation to create an abstract building out of existing architecture from the band's hometown where the band was born and the album was created.
You can listen to the album on Spotify.

Picknik of Art is an event where emerging and established artists share one space, bringing together musical, visual and physical art. Picknik of Art latest edition took place at Stour Space in the beating heart of Hackney Wick.
